postcard print

In my quest to transform my photographs into postcards, my friend recommanded this site:
www.vistaprint.com/vp/ns/sp...ards.aspx

Anybody any postcard experience with it?
Any other suggestions?

Well the prices at Vista print are the cheapest I've seen but how is the quality? For the price they are quoting it can't be too high. All I've seen from them before is really cheap ass business cards.

The two postcard printers I've used online have been Modern Postcard and Postcard Press. Modern Postcard seems to have the better quality card but Postcard Press has better pricing and their cards aren't too bad. It really depends on what you plan to do with them. If you were doing a marketing card for a publicity mailing, I'd go with Postcard Press. You will get a good card for a decent price. If you were going to do these for sale then I'd recommend Modern Postcard. They are more expensive but the paper and print quality is better.

I have used Modern Postcard and Rocket Postcard. Both do a good job but I find Rocket to be a bit better.

I'll probably look into the suggested companies, but when a friend wanted a cheap postcard for their Christmas card, they came up with this one. They just wanted my graphics experience to make sure it was sent in correctly. Cheap as all get-out and surprisingly good. Beginner's luck? Who knows?

Thats a great printing site. Cheap price, good quality. I have made cards with them and plan on making some more in the next few months.

I've used psprint.com and have been happy with the prompt service and decent quality. What ever you do don't use gotprint.com...the most horrendous customer service I have ever experienced!

I just ordered postcards from Vista Print. They are very inexpensive and the shipping time was far less than stated for what I payed (they said 2 weeks and they arrived in about a week). However they did mess up my first order by not printing the cards full bleed. I had to spend some time on the 800 customer support line, but they offered to correct the problem free of charge without any prompting from me. They did get it right on the second try. I've since been able to trim out the image on the original order and use them for business cards. The quality is not the greatest, but they are for mailing and handing out, most will probably wind up in someone's trash. With that in mind, the quality is acceptable.

Iguess it depends on the quality of the photo - because I found the quality to be excellent - have used them before and will again.

The actual photo colors and appearance are very good, mine had some machining/roller marks in the paper stock

Ahh - that can happen with any printer.

"Ahh - that can happen with any printer."

But that means they aren't doing any quality control on their work. If you are sending that type of card out, then people will start thinking maybe your standards aren't too high either.
